Your new role as a Logistics Manager

You will be an accomplished Logistics Manager, who demonstrates experience in implementing planning and supply chain innovation in a construction project environment.

As a Logistics Manager, your knowledge of managing material movements, traffic management, on-site inventory and safe practice with a top tier contractor will be illustrated on your CV.

We want you to have a proactive approach and work in partnership with the client and the management team to deliver:

  • Safe and efficient logistics services across welfare & accommodation services
  • Materials movements
  • Traffic management
  • Facilities management.

Your CV must show you have:

  • Managed teams
  • Can report to the client lead
  • Can support the project managers
  • Lead the logistics team
  • Experience of influencing, best practice and safe working.

You will be supporting the site team throughout the establishment, grow the service, and ensure you deliver against the project plan.

What you’ll need to succeed

Firstly,  you will need to have a proven record that you have delivered logistics services in a similar role in a major construction project of over £50million.

Moreover, the ideal candidate will have experience of working in the construction market for a main contractor. Certainly, a formal construction qualification would be preferred, or membership of the Institute of Logistics and experience on a major construction project.

Your CV should indicate what you have achieved and delivered in this sector. Additionally, you must be comfortable reporting at a project manager level and controlling a large operation through a lean management team.

Furthermore, you should have knowledge Of:

  • Planning, inventory and traffic management tools
  • And be able to translate project plans into efficient delivery instructions

This role offers the chance to lead the logistics function on a landmark project of over £100million.
